Product Review

So I watch a lot of make-up and hair tutorials on YouTube and I have a huge interest in being a make-up artist someday.  I have tried a lot of different products that I thought would work best for me and my skin.

Dr. Jart+ - Water Fuse Beauty Balm SPF 25 PA++
The other day I went to Sephora and found a BB cream that I LOVE! For those of you who don't know what a BB Cream or Beauty Balm is, it is a tinted moisturizer.  My face gets super dry in the wintertime and Dr. Jart's Cream is the best!  It is lighter and I often wear it on my face, instead of foundation.  It covers really smoothly and has good coverage.  It only comes in one color, but it quickly blends into the skin.  I found that other BB Creams vary in shades and some of them are really dark.  It also has SPF 25 in it, which I love!

New Year, New Me

I love the start of a new year! (even though it is my birthday on the 1st!)  :)  It's like a fresh start and I know that this year will be the best yet! I am writing down my goals for this year and I am looking forward to what 2013 holds in store.  One of my goals is to write on my blog more often, just because I'm not very good at keeping a journal.  I really would like to find out what I want in life.  What I'm good at.  What are my talents.  What do I want to work on.  Who I really am.  And I will document my progress as I go.

Wish me luck!

3

So Connor turned 3 years old a couple of months ago.  He is still a goofball and loves to show off.  I swear he is 3 going on 30.  His mannerisms are hilarious! He cracks me up every single day.  He loves to play with older kids, especially playing video games with his cousin Owen.  He loves to play with his cousins!
Of course he LOVES candy and somehow always seems to find it.  He is getting better at eating almost everything, but hates mashed potatoes!
He loves to play with his tools and will walk around the house with his toolbox and toolbelt, filled with his hammer and screwdrivers, fixing anything and everything.
He continues to like nursery, but is excited to be a sunbeam next year!
He got a new bike for his birthday and he still is a little scared to ride it.  I'm trying to teach him how to brake, but he always ends up riding his bike into the grass or fence to stop.  It's pretty funny.
He loves superheros and enjoys running around the house in his new cape and mask that I made him.  He loves to watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Jake and the Neverland Pirates and Bolt on t.v.
He enjoys going to the library to look at the books, play with the puzzles and get on the computers.
He loves to go camping and be outdoors.
He loves his Grammies and Papa's and talks about them a lot!
He is the sweetest thing and still loves to cuddle with mom and dad.  I'm so thankful for that!! He also got a new "big boy bed" and falls asleep in that pretty well.  I love that his imagination is growing and it's fun to sit back and watch him play.
He knows his ABC's, can count to 15, is getting better at his colors and shapes, can get himself dressed, put his own shoes on (even though I need to help him tie them), likes to get his teeth brushed, loves to play in the bathtub with his shark, wants a dog, can say prayers pretty much by himself, knows his birthday and loves to show people how old he is with his fingers.

Connor's 2nd Birthday Party

Connor turned 2 a couple weeks ago, so we threw him a train party! He had a lot of fun playing with his friends and cousins. We made candy trains, which the kids loved! And he was thrilled with all the presents he got! When I was making his birthday cake the day before, Connor was so excited to see his "choo choo cake" and wanted to look at it every second. Thank you to everyone who came!

My big brother...

Our beloved husband, son, father, and brother passed unexpectedly into the loving arms of his Heavenly Father October 1, 2011, two days short of his 27th birthday.

Jeremy was born in Fort Lewis, Washington on October 3, 1984, son of Scott and Dru Beecher.

While growing up he traveled to Arizona, Germany, California while his father served in the Army. They settled in Bountiful, Utah.

While living there, Jeremy met the love of his life, Rachel Leigh Woodruff. They were married January 28, 2006 in Layton, Utah. Together they had two beautiful children, Owen (Owen Boy) age six and Avery (Chicka Doo) age two.

Jeremy made friends wherever he went and was never judgmental of anyone. Jeremy loved all kinds of music, driving fast, the outdoors, four wheeling, and spending time with his family. He was creative, a fast learner, good with his hands, and loved to know how things worked.

He will be missed by his wife, Rachel and two children, Owen (6), Avery (2). Survived by his mother and father; Scott and Dru Beecher; Sisters, Jessica (Brian) Peck, Brittany (David) Snow, Ashley (Dylan) Miller, both sets of grandparents, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends .

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the LDS Orchard 8th Ward Chapel, 55 East 350 North, North Salt Lake, Utah. A viewing will be Tuesday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main and Wednesday morning before the service from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the church for family and close friends. Interment will follow at the Brigham City Cemetery. An online guest book is available at http://www.russonmortuary.com/. In lieu of flowers an account has been set up for his children at America First Credit Union under Owen and Avery Beecher.

This is the letter I wrote to Jeremy for his funeral:

My wonderful big brother,
I miss you already, even though I didn’t see you that often. I wish that I did see you more often and that we hung out more. Now I’m going to regret it for the rest of my life.

Thank you for being a great example to me. Even though you didn’t know it, I really did look up to you.

You were always so kind to everyone you met. You had the greatest sense of humor and I always loved to laugh with you. You have brought so much joy to my life.

I am seriously going to miss you around the holidays, because you always loved to put up the Christmas lights outside and help us decorate the Christmas tree. That was your favorite.

You especially loved Rachel and the kids. You lit up when you were around them and you were the sweetest daddy.

Thank you for always coming to pick me up from high school, even though I was embarrassed when you came, because your bass was thumping everything! You used to tease your sisters a ton and you used to put our heads into your armpit and I always thought that was so gross! And your after school snack was always something mixed up that you found in the cupboards, like tuna fish and eggs or tuna fish with macaroni and cheese. When I played video games, you used to come and help me with the hard levels and always passed it on the first try.

I am going to miss the music that you played in your car or at home. On long drives camping or wherever, you always put on country songs and turned it up way loud and I loved it! I will forever think of you whenever Garth Brooks or Tim McGraw comes on the radio.

I am especially going to miss the “Hey Brit!” whenever I saw you. I loved it. And I am going to miss your contagious laugh and smile.

This isn’t goodbye, just a see you later, because I know that I will see you again! Jeremy, I love you so so much!! And it’s really good to know that you aren’t hurting anymore. Please watch over us always and know that we are missing you every second.

Love always,
Brittany
